Classifications

CLASSIFICATION BADGES/FITA STARS & ROSES: As you progress with the “200” Club Scheme and start doing Rounds to get a Classification you should be aiming to work your way up the Classification ladder. There are awards for both Recurve & Compound disciplines starting with 3rd, 2nd, 1st, Bowman, Masterbowman(MB), & Grand Masterbowman(GMB).

The Club have their own Class Badges which are awarded when the Club Record’s Officer confirms that 3 scores of the correct Handicap Level have been achieved.

Once you start to do Tournaments there are also L&RCAA Class Badges you can apply for. This involves sending your score sheet to the County Record’s Officer to claim the relevent badge. Claim forms can be found on the County web site & for more information speak to the Record’s Officer.

FITA STARS: If you start doing Open Tournaments you will find there are some FITA ones that have ‘STAR’ status. These shoots are organised to a World Record Status level under the rules of the International Governing Body for archery – FITA. Although this sounds a bit scary Archers of all levels compete at these Tournaments and you can claim awards if you achieve a certain score level on the day. These are badges known as FITA STARS for score levels of: 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1350 & 1400. They have to be claimed on the day by filling in a form; which the Organiser’s have; that is then sent off to GNAS & upon confirmation the Badge is posted direct to you.

ENGLISH CROSSES : This is also a Badge you can claim for certain score levels at specific FITA shoots. These are awards given by the English Archery Federation for: 850, 950, 1050, 1150, & 1250. Sometimes claimable on the day, or you can send your score sheet; with the Claim Form; to the EAF and the badge is posted to you.

GNAS ROSES : This is the GNAS version of the Fita Star award but there are Junior Awards too! These are badges claimable at YORK/HEREFORD Tournaments that have ROSE status; and usually include BRISTOL Rounds for Juniors; for scores of: 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200. Like the Fita Star these have to be claimed on the day with the same procedure.
